And I always avoid those games that ask for such info...and my biggest pet peeve is when I get a forewarded email from someone with my address...and about 100 others in the "to" line. This past weekend at a baseball game, Discover Card had a table set up to take applications. A guy who seemed a little discombobulated by the crowd was taking them, complete with social security numbers, at a folding table surrounded by a throng of people looking at the free prizes at the table. Who would hand their SSNs to a guy who left them stacked on a table in a crowd of people, I wondered? Lots of people, was the answer. I wasn't one of them.
