My parents live around the corner and I've never been, but apparently one has been under my nose:

With giant tiki heads, a waterfall, and swanky VIP rooms, Voodoo is a colorful, over-the-top nightspot in a suprisingly low-key, out-of-the-way neighborhood. Clubsters make the trek out of Hollywood for the well-known promoters who take over (usually on weekends) and stellar (techno, trance, house) DJ lineups they bring in.
