Hello, I am debating about going to the Hukilau (I know time is running out), as I would be going down there solo, (except for my friends down there who don't have an interest in the Hukilau) and would prefer to meet some of the local New York & area crowd that are planning to attend. That will probably help solidfy my plans. Anway, there is a very fun event coming up this Saturday night in New York City at The Fez located downtown. Fishermen are playing and they are also having burlesque acts. I am enclosing a cut and paste of the email I read about the event. The doors open at 10:30 p.m. this Saturday, 8/28 and the show starts at 11 p.m. Admission is $ 12.00. I think it would be great fun if we could get a group of us to go, (my NY friends don't quite get my passion for Tiki and Exotica). I would be happy to make the arrangements. Please let me know your thoughts and as I mentioned before it could be a good oportunity for those going to the Hukilau to meet in advance.
