I boarded up the crib and we high-tailed it north. I am about 25 miles from the Gulf and had no damage whatsoever except for a piece of siding that I had to snap back into place - but that's not even damage. I thank God, because the eye passed over our house. My neighbors say it was dead-calm for about an hour, and then, the wind blew like crazy again. I feel so sorry for everyone east of the eye.
