Morning after, checking in;

We're fine, although severely dissapointed we were so close and yet so far from the Mai Kai festivities- guess this is what it feels like to be an adult. (Damn grown up 'responsible' decision making!) On the up side, the truck's ok, we're ok, and we never even lost power last night, so who are we to argue, when all around us is such a mess.

No local news reports of emergency mid hurricane evacuations of the Mai Kai, so assumedly everyone had a great night. The barrier island evacuation order has been lifted too.

Of course, from here, Jeanne gets to visit on up the coast through to Maryland :( So we may or may not be done yet.

But for now, we're going to see whether the Mai Kai is open tonight, or if they're completely partied out. We leave for Key West on Monday.
