Palau is 8 hours past Hawaii, and absolutely gorgeous and tropical.

my father was lucky enough to go out there several times for work. the business men dress in suits and ties, except instead of pants they wear tropical skirts!
he was interested in buying up some property, but they have a law that requires you to be a native in order to do so. so you're not going to hear a whole lot about tourism there.

very cool people from there that I've met.
