There is an exhibition called hula dreams in Sydney. It features 50 ukeleles painted by various people. These include Garry Shead, George Gittoes, Kaz Cooke, Martin Sharp, Mic Conway, Greg Weight, Reg Mombassa and Paul Worstead. All of the ukes are for sale ranging from $400 to $3000. It is open Thursday to Sunday, 11:00am to 6:00pm, free until November 21. Gallery East, 21 Burnie Street, Clovelly, 9665 5414 Does not sound strictly tiki but still cool enough to warrant a look |
