I'm sorry if this has been hashed over before, but I found this so interesting, I'd thought I'd share...
While searching through old books I came across "HEAD HUNTING IN THE SOLOMON ISLANDS" By Caroline Mytinger. I've only barely started to read the book, but it sure is interesting. Two white women with a spirt of adventure set out to paint the peoples of the Solomon Islands in 1926 .
I always read with my trusty computer near by and when I typed in Carolines name I was surprised to find this.

Lauran Hutton has signed onto the project and the expedition is to head out in May or June of 2005 and retrace Carolines journey.
Should be interesting.Carolines life as well as the peoples she painted.
