Just a year or two after returning to the UK after living in the US, I went on a school trip to the (then) USSR. We were given lots of little booklets about how the USSR just wanted peace and how they couldn't understand why the USA wanted to create a 'Cold War' between the two countries. Not making a political comment, but just pointing out the weirdness of the two stances. Propaganda no doubt, but unquestionably on both sides. Trader Woody |
