Ed Crissman also did the carvings for the Ken Kimes Tropics chain of motels (the most notable one being our dear Caliente Tropics in Palm Springs). His tikis can still be seen at the Palm Springs and Modesto locations, the PS ones are better cared for, naturally. However, that tiki looks to me like it's carved from hardwood. I'm no expert, though. |
