10 Jan. 1929 the first Tintin comic strip was released in the pages of Le Petit Vingtième. The first strips were collected in the book "Tintin in the Land of the Soviets," and 23 more adventures followed ("Tintin & Alph-Art" was released posthumously in 1986). See the Wikipedia for more!
