I had a big surprise yesterday. My husband and 3 friends wanted to take me out and show me a good time before my surgery on Tuesday, which will put me on the sidelines for a bit.
First off we went tiki hunting. I found several good records, a small coco Joe and several old books. The big find was a velvet painting under glass marked down to 15 dollars. It has this at the bottom of the picture LONG.AN.V.N Then a signature I can't read. Anybody know what that means? That's a big find for me here in the midwest, without having to go into the city and paying a lot more.
This trip was followed up by dinner at Chef Shangri-la(bought a few glass tiki mugs) and drinks at Hala Kahiki with a stop into their gift shop where I picked up some TV drink mixers and a hula bowl and a couple of coco joe key chains. All in all just a grrrreat day for me!
