I was watching the footage that's been running the last day or so of the last Tonight Show when Bette Midler serenades Johnny at the end. I didn't see this when it was originally broadcast in '92, but I noticed that Bette gave Johnny a Lei (no pun) before she walked off stage. Being a big Tikiphile & Carson fan I thought it was a great image to see Johnny off with this week. Aloha John!!! |
