I never thought about e-mailing the high bidder about my personal sob story but I don't know if I can humble myself enough to do that. What I need to do is thoroughly scour the thrift and antique stores in the state of Maryland - I'm somewhat comforted by the fact that the seller is based here - there has got to be another Hawaiian Room "Planet of the Apes" mug gathering dust locally with my name on it!
