O

Tikicutie ... I have a question

(btw everyone .. great site here! DL's Enchanted Tiki Room has a very special place in my oc native heart .... and I wasted no time to sign up .. fresh from Laughingplace.com)

Anyway ... TikiCutie ....

Because this the most extensive rehab this attraction ever received .. can you tell us if it is getting some sound insulation - At least on the side of the Tahitian Terrace/Aladdin's Oasis?

See ... I remember very well an incredible improvement WDIA did to the 'tiki room's' sound system back in 1996. I litterally jumped out of my seat going from an "AM Transistor Radio" sound ... to the BOOM-BOOM-BOOM of a newly restored soundtrack with new speakers and "boom box" subwoofers located underneath the backrow seating.

Not long after that .... the sound was lowered because of apparrent complaints that the sound was 'bleeding' into Aladdin's Oasis .

The original "1963" show is so special - I'm most fond of it .. and the arrangements were so crystal clear .. that they deserved being brought forth with excellent clarity. Deminished to a degree since by lowering the volume. It was JUST RIGHT before.

So .... I would think that a decision was past to add new sound insulation ... and crank that sound back up to 1996 levels!!!

As long as the facility is torn apart ... I hope they came up with the idea of adding some sound proofing.

I'll look forward to your response.
