Here's four shots from my most recent visit to Disneyland, on the 28th of January, 2005.

This shows, well, mostly the big fence around the Enchanted Tiki Room. Still, one can see the rebuilt Dole stand taking shape, as well as the new thatching on the roof of the main building.

Another shot of the fence, and a wee bit of the construction. Note also the menehune figures on the pile to the left. In case you wondered where the "teeny tiki" figural came from.

A peek through the fence, showing the lanai garden. It's hard to get shots into there, as a plastic netting is on the other side of the fence, blocking much of the view. Anyway, this shows some of the condition of the Enchanted Tiki... ladder storage and dumpster area.

"...and don't forget the fury of... our gift shop." This is the wall of Enchanted Tiki Room goods. Earlier in the day they had the lids on the Pele mugs, but they ended up all being removed by this point. I suspect it may be because those shelves are not 100% sturdy, and I saw one person almost knock it all over that day. That would have been a major disaster.

Cheers,
Gwen Smith
