Tikifish - 8-foot Tiki's picture is actually one of a series of Frank Macintosh menu covers done for the Matson Lines cruise ships in the 1930s. These were very popular and a lot of them were framed as artwork. I found a similarly framed one at a garage sale a few years ago.

It's probable that your artist based his/her artwork on the Frank Macintosh painting, since it was a fairly iconic piece.
