I just want to add that everybody, kohalacharms, EVERYBODY, should snipe. I suspect that if everyone did snipe that the going prices for rare items would be a little lower than they are today. Just a hunch. Sniping takes a lot of the emotion out of bidding (except for the emotion you get after you lose). I just started using esnipe and it's even less angst-ridden. You set your bid hours in advance and just go do something else and forget about it. You check on it later. I've overpaid for items plenty of times from getting all worked up in the last minute or so. Not anymore. I ask myself what is the item worth, subtract S/H and place the bid. My win rate is no higher than before, maybe even a little lower, but at least I'm not tied to the computer.
