for that wrapping stuff...

I usually put a liberal amount of wood glue (tight bond) both on the beginning portion of the wrapping and the piece being wrapped (rattan or bamboo). Place the end of the wrapping down, do one full wrap and overlap the end. Keep the wrapping pulled tight throughtout the entire process. ONce you have a wrapping or two done, and you keep it tight, it will stay. Complete the wrapping the same way, leaving the last wrap a little loose, then tuck the end through and pull tight. I usually apply the wood glue to the wrapping throughout the wrapping process. It can get a little messy, but you can wipe away the excess when you're done. Believe it or not, it will hold very tight, and you don't need to mess with tiny nails or anything that might split the wrapping. Good luck and have fun - the wrapping process is my favorite part. Feel free to email or PM if I wasn't clear enough.
