In an attempt to alleviate cabin fever I drove to the big city (Bakersfield) for dinner. if you are ever in the are may I suggest the very modern KC's Steak House . Interior (which has probably not been alterd in at least 35 years) is resplendent with free form bar, free standing fireplace with octagonal copper hood and cheesy 'jazz' band. And don't forget the mini-skirted waitresses with Ali McGraw do's. James Coburn (and Sabu) would be proud. KC's Steakhouse |
