Norman Fell was born in Philidelphia, Pa., on March 24th, 1924. After serving as a tailgunner for the Air Force in the South Pacific during WW II, Norman studied the dramatic arts at Temple Univercity, graduating with a BA in Drama in 1946. After playing bit roles & walk on parts on stage & on TV, Norman got his big break playing "Mike" on "Joe & Mabel," a 1955 Comedy series where Mabel & her Mom scheme to get Joe to propose, their friends usually get involved & hilarity ensues.

Norman's movies include "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World," "The Graduate," "The Thomas Crown Affair," "PT 109," "The Killers," and the role that got him Respect: Peter Rheimer in "Ocean's 11." Cast as the only man who could make Joey Bishop look macho & still look cool himself, Norman used this role as a springboard to bigger movie roles & later TV stardom as Mr. Roper in "Three's Company."

Norman Fell died of Cancer at the Motion Picture and Television Fund's retirement home in Woodland Hills CA, aged 74, on December 14th, 1998.
