Aloha Sparticus65000,

In regards to your question about the ukulele...I'm learning to play too. I'm a musician whose been playing bass guitar for over 20 years in every type of band from surf to hardcore punk. Last Christmas my wife received a Ukulele from my niece (also a bass player formerly of Ballgagger & The Neptunas). She figured that since my wife's from Hawaii she would like the ukulele...It sat for 6 months before I decided it was a sin for any musical instrument to be neglected...and since it has four strings and my bass has four strings maybe I should give it a try. I started by buying a good electronic tuner at Guitar Center to make sure it was tuned right (had a bad experience with a Sitar my brother gave me several years ago). To make a long story short, the guy you need to talk to is Joseph Souza the owner of Kanile'a 'Ukulele of Hawaii. His address is [email protected]. He offers a great selection of beginner & advanced chord & song books at good prices.

Mahalo,
