Even if they completely hack it up, someone else can do a remake later (for better or worse. Even if they make the perfect movie version this time someone else can do a complete hack job of a remake later, too). No matter how good or bad the movie is it'll have it's fans & detractors, and that's just the way it is. All you can do is make sure you have your towel handy & plan to enjoy the trip.
