One of the most charming aspects of tiki drink menus are the descriptions that accompany the name of each drink. I recently acquired an early menu from Frances Langford's Outrigger restaurant (the red menu)and found the drink list to be much more extensive than the menu used in later years.

Here are a couple of examples:

Outrigger Special - This one goes to your head. Don't ask for it unless you can take it. Need we say more?.... Aloha!
$1.50

Hurricane Suzy - Beware... this one will affect a man as well as a lady. After one or two of these you will even kiss your wife.
$1.50

Pearl Diver - Served complete with mystery pearl, a stimulating mixture of South Sea Rum blended with Exotic Sweetening.
$1.75

Pina-Pi - As refreshing as a snow storm would be in the midst of a tropical heat wave. A pleasant mixture of Hawaiian Rum and 91% Demerara Rums. Served in individual pineapple. $1.95

Chanticleer Special - Be Careful! $1.25
(The Chanticleer is Frances Langford's yacht - KG).

Hopefully others will add drink descriptions to this thread from menus they own...
