In adding decorative embellishments to my tiki bar, my process has included scanning photographs and downloading pics from several Tiki sites and especially pics of other TC member’s bars. I bet a lot of you do the same thing to some extent.
I have met few of you (unfortunately) and have never been to any of your homes but you could blindfold me and drop me off in one of your bars and I would feel like I was in an old haunt.
Kahukini, let me suck up to you a little. Your bar is well represented on my hard drive. It’s a great bar. (I don't know about that little white dog, but that's just me.) Also, you have earned many tiki merit badges for your Hukilau promotion efforts and probably much more. Now we know you have passionate political and religious beliefs. What I hate is the political baiting. I guess it’s because I almost always take the bait. But none of us come here to be called idiots. My dad used to say, “mrtikibar, if someone tells you your dad isn’t fit to eat with the pigs, well you better tell them he is too fit to eat with the pigs”. So, even though some of us tilt a bit to the right we still are fit to eat with the pigs without being called idiots. (Or did I just make the opposite point?) Anyway, I think this thread is accomplishing nothing and is at best misguided.
Hanford, please pull the plug on this and write up some new regulations limiting the Beyond Tiki forum.
