Last night I went to see Andy Cruz from House Industries ( http://www.houseindustries.com ) give a FANTASTIC talk on the evolution of House Industries, and their various design influences over the years. There's a nice healthy dose of tiki in there, as the guys went through a Polynesian Pop period, and are still fans of the Mai Kai in particular. He's giving the talk again at the Apple store at the Grove tonight: July 15th at 7pm The talk is FREE and not to be missed if you're a fan of beautiful midcentury fonts & design. Very, very cool. |
