In the Philadelphia area the trend is to buy a cute arts & crafts bungalow and tear it down and erect an ugly stucco McMansion on the lot,sandwiching it in,leaving no room for any yard, and then if there is actually grass left, to pave over it and make the yard into a huge driveway.Grass is undesireable here. Plus there will be the inevitable 3 car garage. My husband and I had to search for ages to find a bungalow to buy and restore, so this makes us insane!
