Local Peppermills closed: what are they now? (non-event) - Beyond Tiki

The fire pit IS still there. However, right now it only has teh bubbling water - they are bringing in a guy this week to show them how to get the fire going. Also, you can't sit directly near the fire pit anymore - it's closed off (for now). But you can see if anywhere in the bar area. I did not try the vietnamese fare but the bartender said it was very tasty. In my opinion, this place needs more time to settle in before it's worth going to - the bar area was too brightly lit, the bartender is still figuring out how to make drinks, and the fire pit is not fully functional. other than that, the dining areas looked upscale - huge aquarium and plush booths, and the bar area (the Bambu lounge" was mildly tropical in decor but no tikis.
