From the great Pacific Northwest, a legend of fear and woe

In the shadow of Mt. Rainier, in the middle of Seattle's "Bumbershoot" arts festival, a strange new volcano suddenly thrust from the earth's surface.

Its appearance sent the natives into frenzied rituals, shedding their native gore-tex and shaking in desperate dances to appease the Volcano God:

But the Volcano God was not satisfied, and as the mountain rumbled, the natives cowered together in fear:

Until finally the mountain belched forth a great, cascading wall of bubbling lava...

... trapping its hapless victims where they stood:

Until finally, like the natives, at night the great Volcano God slept once more.
