Today at a junk shop I picked up one of those mugs/cups made from a piece of timber bamboo (it's the nicer, polished type of mug/cup). 99 cents. This one has "Aku Aku" printed on its side, the style of the letters is the same as those on the Aku Aku moai mug and fan on pg 120 of The Book. Is this a familiar object to anyone? Is it an actual relic from the Las Vegas Aku Aku? |
