No the Coconut Grove was at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, Its where Robert Kennedy was killed. The Coconut grove had big palm trees inside that were made for the movie "The Sheik" with Valentio back in the 20's. The movie was filmed on the beach in Oxnard where the Channel Island Marina is today. BTW The Ambassador is being torn down to make room for a new school. |
