The interior of the kitschy 'Bamboo Lounge', where Henry's psychotic pal Tommy DeVito (Joe Pesci) does his scary “funny guy” turn, was the Hawaii Kai Restaurant, 49th Street at Broadway. At last look, it was a stylish Japanese restaurant and the glorious South Seas decor is only a memory (though the Hawaii Kai sign still hung above the street)."
