Obviously I painted the wall green first. Then I cut all the poles I needed to length and split them in half with a sharp hand axe. I attatched them to the wall using a hot glue gun, but I used a gun that was very hot along with glue that was especialy made for wood. I'm doing the same thing for all the bamboo trim too. I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but I'm on the smallest budget ever, and I'm kind of learning as I go.
