After a long dry spell and equally unproductive week deer hunting, we decided to try some mug hunting last weekend. Found an ad in the paper for a garage sale featuring "head vases" and had to check it out. Bought this concave-bottom Mr. Bali Hai for $5.00! Yeah, he's damaged, but I think the broken nose-bone adds character. Same sale netted these two as well. I think I like photographing this stuff almost as much as I like finding it! Then, later that same day, my wife spotted this Diamond Head mug at an antique mall; marked "Art Deco vase." I grabbed it and quickly paid the $9.95 for it! What a weekend!!
