These got me laughing really hard. I am intimately acquainted with this music, since "Yacht Rock" was my first foray into Popular Music. My sister and I weaned my strict Christian parents onto the radio via such artists as Christopher Cross and Air Supply. Before that, it was all Christian music, John Denver records, and the 50s classics like Sinatra and Spike Jones. Getting our parents to let us listen to "smooth rock" was a huge step for us. I used to love this music. "TOTO IV" was the first lp I ever bought. It wasn't till I moved out of the house that I began to delve backwards into the classic hard rock of the 1970s and 60s, as well as into the current New Wave and Punk. The fact that I knew this music so well makes these skits even funnier to me. I guess "smooth rock" has another decade or so to go before it is revived. Where is my Paul Davis? Where is my England Dan & John Ford Coley?
