BORN: FEBRUARY 18, 1913 PAIA, MAUI, HAWAII Freddie Tavares apparently played all the ukulele in the Elvis Presley movie "Blue Hawaii". (This is the same man who played the opening steel guitar intro to Looney Tunes and designed the Stratocaster guitar with Leo Fender!)
