Actually that's a funny example because in fact the Grand Ole Opry changed locations a whole bunch of times since the original show in the 20s, even moving from the Ryman Auditorium in the 70s. Sadly, the contrast between the Opry and CBGBs couldn't be sharper - both places had to move/close because of capacity problems, but of the opposite kind! -Randy |
