The Bali Hai has made some (minor) strides to revamp the place. The famous Goof was repainted to pristine colors. And the restaurant allowed Mr. Bali Hai to be restored. It also seemed (to my rum-addled memory) that they've made some very small upgrades in the bar area. Yes, they do have a long way to go if they actually do want to restore the venerable Bali Hai to its glory days. But they said on their website that they are planning to restore things. Time will tell if they do so.
