Great postcard! I love the palm trees (fake?) with the tiki carved out of the middle of the trunk.

According to my 1959-60 AAA tour book, there was also the Polynesian Motel at 641 S. Brookhurst St., the Tropicana Motel at 1540 S. Harbor, the Waikiki Motel at 631 S. Katella, and the Royal Hawaiian restaurant at 1025 S. Los Angeles St., in addition to the Kona Kai Motel.
