When you get to the carving stage where you are doing the peirce carvings like this, going all the way through the wood multiple times, you enter another whole knew world. The degree of difficulty is treemendous and you just did it like it was "Just" another carving. I know what you mean about feeling what it was like for those former, ancient carvers with their primitive tools and the trouble they had. We have all kinds of power tools and it is Still difficult. Very Well Done.
