Very nice first effort. Had fun doing it too, didn't ya? Yep, that's what I thought. Looking forward to seeing the next one. You might consider a light tapa-like pattern or something of that sort for the background the next go-round—if you have that kind of space. It will help those forward elements by providing a setting for them. Just a thought. Take anything I say with a grain of salt.
