The main story is here:"A one-bar garage". It's a garage with a hot tub, some laser disco lights, plastic leis, hula skirts used as fringe, a dance floor, fog machine, and a model airplane hanging from the ceiling. The owner estimates he's put somewhere between $10,000 to $15,000 into the project. No information as to how much of that was for the model airplane.

The real story is this: The Times "Resources for going tropical" sidebar gets it right...Tiki Central is the first listing. (Not sure if we made the print edition...Danged paperboy is late.)
