One needs to see if the city of Beverly Hills has any protections for historic structures and if we can even get it nominated as historic in that city. If not, the next best thing (as someone here has already suggested) is a media campaign involving some celebs to step up, and perhaps the LA Conservancy offering them an alternative condo development plan for the site that includes saving the Trader Vics. I am sure all of these aspects have already been thought of as I am a little late to this one.
