Two African parrots were sneaked aboard a flight from Puerto Rico by a passenger who hid them in a small cardboard box, which he shoved in a carry-on bag and sneaked through security, Burke said. The plane landed about 7 a.m. at Newark Liberty International Airport, where it was met by officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, who said no law appeared to have been broken.
