aloha all! we opened up the joint this past friday.
i must say the place looks pretty great. they kinda mixed the decor of a great tiki place with mid century modern feel that the hotel valley ho is known for.lighting could be a bit darker and a few more things on the walls for my taste.
the reception area is really awesome. all made out of lava rock. giant tikis are throughout the place.
there is a cool smoke meat room that is all glass where you watch the chef
cook the meat.
the fellow at the desk was super nice. a very frail hawaiian gentlemen that has been working for trader vics since the old days in san francisco.he was sharing his martin denny sories with us!did i say the drinks were great and served in a fab trader vics ceramic coconut!!!
all in all ..they are still workin a few of the bugs out of a new place but i suggest you check it out if your in the scottsdale, arizona area.afterall it is the coolest hotel going.(hoel valley ho) best place in the country!should you call up the hotel and they put you on hold...well thats us .....the martini kings.
