Hey guys Aitutaki Aitutaki lagoon is sensational, amazing fishing and great snorkeling the resort we stayed at was home to some pretty impressive Tiki Rarotonga Rarotonga was my favorite of the islands we visited, lots to do and loads of great food. Its also home to the worlds fastest hula dancers. a couple of photos of carvings done by the Tavioni family. these two carved boulders are part of the central marketplace in town, as you can see they feature carvings of all the various island tiki the resort we stayed in on Rarotonga was packed full of tiki, everywhere you looked, in every nook and cranny. photos of the Island craft store on the main street of town. they have a workshop on the outskirts of town (2 streets away) after meeting TuTu the manager we spent some time watching the local carvers. this spear was being made and shipped to the US. |
