Paipo, the Tang mask design is actually a Leroy Schmaltz interpretation, which I took the liberty of copying (sans ears). A copy of a copy in keeping with the tiki tradition... You can see the original on the cover of the book "Night of the Tiki" by Douglas Nason. Thanks for the comps, and I must say it is excellent to see an NZ artist on the board. I appreciate your stone carvings and especially the step-by-steps that you illustrated so well in that post. Cheers, A-A |
