25th year anniversary of MTV - Bilge

I'm Tivoing the whole thing. I was an MTV junkie back in the day. (My cable company started carrying it in 1983.)I averaged about five hours a day. I really enjoyed most of what they played back in the early days, but I was actually just waiting around every day to see if they'd play Split Enz. I cut back for about a year after Split Enz broke up, but started up again in late 1986 when Crowded House's first album was released and they ended up in heavy rotation.
