Has anyone ever heard of the the liki Tiki Project? The goal with this project was to discover how the Polynesian's populated the islands of the Pacific Ocean, from Hawaii to New Zealand, 2,000 years ago. The first boat, Liki Tiki, was designed after Captain Cook's drawings of double hull boats. The belief is that these were ocean cruising boats.
