Being of Islander heritage, I've eaten SPAM as long as I can remember and growing up, I could never understand why everybody was so grossed out by it. But, I think the thing that scares people off is the the way SPAM looks straight out of the can. The flavor is really brought out when it is grilled. It's definitely one of my most favorite foods. :)
